Dandelion root: Dandelion root is high in plant oestrogen and plays a significant role in the detoxification of the body. This plays a crucial role in detoxifying excess hormones in the body.

Cramp bark (Guelder Rose): This plant contains a compound called methyl salicylate, which is known to have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. As you would imagine what the name suggests is assists in the relief of premenstrual syndrome or PMS. It also has a long history of use in Native American herbalism,who used cramp bark to naturally treat gout and swollen glands. Overall, cramp bark contains antispasmodic, sedative, relaxant and astringent properties.

Wild Yam: Native Americans have used wild yam for benefits ranging from estrogen therapy and natural progesterone to treating diverticulosis, gallbladder pain, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as offering increased energy.

Wild yam also relaxes the central nervous system and smooth muscle tissues, thereby assisting with colic, gallstones, cramping, intestinal inflammation and nervousness.

Yellow dock: Yellow dock is considered a bitter herb due to the presence of tannins, and like other bitters it makes digestion and absorption of nutrients more efficient. The bitter flavour also regulates blood sugar by decreasing sugar cravings and increasing feelings of fullness and assists an under-functioning liver of purging of toxins, waste products, and excess hormones.

In addition the bitter components in yellow dock also can be a very useful for naturally balancing hormones by supporting the elimination of excess oestrogen during the luteal and menstrual phases of our monthly cycles.
